Lechner Racing Porsche Supercup
Porsche Supercup Season Final for BWT Lechner Racing - Ciao, Monza!
The final weekend of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2021 season will be held this weekend at the famous Monza circuit in Italy. BWT Lechner Racing will do everything to make the last part of the season-end triple header which started at Spa two weeks ago a very successful one at the traditional 5.793 km long track in the Royal Park with its very special atmosphere in front of the ever so enthusiastic Tifosi. After the impressive one-two victory in Belgium and solid 4th and 6th positions recently in Zandvoort/Netherlands, everyone is highly motivated to finish the year on a high.
„What started in Monaco in May now comes to an end at Monza“, says Lechner Racing Team Principal and CEO Robert Lechner. „Looking back to this very challenging seasons it´s a pity that we lost so many valuable points at the beginning. Just to mention the two retirements of Ayhancan Güven due to technical reasons... Without them, we would go to Italy now leading the team championship and still being in the real fight for the drivers´s title – with a very clear aim to focus on. But nevertheless we will still go flat out, until the last exit out of Parabolica on the last lap, trying to bring this Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season to the most successful ending possible for the whole team.“
The Monza race weekend will start with Free Practice on Friday (12.30 pm), Qualifying on Saturday morning (10.25 am) with the fastest lap of each driver counting for the grid of Saturday evening´s race (6.20 pm), and the second fastest one for the final race on Sunday midday (12.30pm).
