Lechner Racing Porsche Supercup
Julian Andlauer in P3 in Free Practice at Silverstone
The first free practice of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at Silverstone saw a lot of a mix up again due to a huge number of deleted laps due to track limits. In the end Julian Andlauer from BWT Lechner Racing was classified in P3, one tenth ahead of his teammate Michael Ammermüller in P5. “It was quite tricky out there today, as the track was very slippery and there was also a lot of traffic, especially in the end”, the two agreed afterwards. “But especially our long run pace seems very promising, so the most important thing will be to put everything together tomorrow in qualifying, using the track limits just really to the limit, but not over it.”
In the “home of British motor racing, as the classical circuit is called, Tio Ellinas from Team MOMO Megatron Lechner Racing made it to P8, the reigning champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain feeling also rather competive for the race, “but I was not too lucky with the traffic today.” His teammate, 21-year-old Dylan Pereira from Luxembourg, ended up in P 12. Team Lechner Racing Middle East´s Al Faisal Al Zubair from Oman was in the Top 10 for quite some time, but could not get a clean lap in the end and dropped back to P19, just ahead of his South African teammate Saul Hack in P20, with JB Simmenauer, a guest starter with the team this weekend again, in P17.
Qualifying for the Fourth race of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2019 at Silverstonethe will start at 6.15 pm CEST on Saturday.
