“We are not driving for the beauty, but for the title”, are the words, René Rast in 2010 hears again and again from his team manager Walter Lechner. With that his experienced team boss defined Rast’s tactics and strategy in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup title fight against his rival Nick Tandy. In the second half of the season the Brit put massive pressure on Rast. However, the German administers the lead he claimed at the beginning of the year. Rast had an excellent start into the season. During the first six races he fetched four pole positions and victories, had only one retirement. In Silverstone he finished second, being beaten by Tandy for the first time. With a fourth rank at the final race in Monza and a lead of six points Rast fetches his second championship title in the Porsche brands cups. In 2011 he aims for a further title win.

“After all it would be nice to hear the national anthem of Austria at the winner’s ceremony again”, Walter Lechner surprises his listeners while he is talking about the possible obligation of compatriot Norbert Siedler. A couple of days later the negotiations are completed and Siedler in his fourth Supercup year gets his chance which simultaneously is a big burden. In the last years two-fold champions team he gets the possibility to compete in the same team against the reigning champion Rast. At the same time he is expected to fulfil the special musical request of his boss. In 2008 Siedler came into the Supercup. One year later he fetched his first podium finishes. In 2010 he won the Barcelona round and finished third in the final driver standings of the Supercup.
